Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Health Dr Faisal Sultan has warned against complacency in following Covid-19 precautions and said the threat of coronavirus variants remains which the government is keeping a close eye on.

"I think we are keeping a close eye on those and it will require continued vigilance and retooling of efforts to combat this to completion."

He said it was "crucial" to continue with the efforts made so far to tackle the pandemic so "we do not give up what's been achieved already".
