The United Nations has said it was becoming “increasingly critical with each passing hour” to restore essential supplies and services in Gaza.

In a post on X, it said the UN and its partners have pre-positioned aid in the region, but an immediate ceasefire was needed for the safe delivery of life-saving assistance.
