Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has taken jabs at Iran’s new supreme leader, Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei, for not appearing in public after Tehran issued its first statement on his behalf, which was read out by a TV presenter, AFP reports.

“We eliminated the old tyrant, and the new tyrant, the puppet of the Revolutionary Guards, can’t show his face in public,” Netanyahu has told a televised press conference.
