The UN Human Rights Council said it will hold an urgent debate on Wednesday on Iran’s retaliatory strikes on countries across the Gulf region, AFP reports.

A group of countries will present a draft resolution to the United Nations’ top rights body on “the recent military aggression launched by Iran against Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates… targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure, which has resulted in the loss of innocent lives”, the council said in a statement.
