Democrat senator questions Trump’s Hormuz blockade strategy

Senator Mark Warner, the most senior Democrat on the Senate Intelligence Committee, has told CNN: “I don’t understand how blockading the Strait is somehow going to push the Iranians into opening it,” Al Jazeera reports.

“I don’t see the connection there,” he adds as reactions to Trump’s announcement trickle in.
