Richard Burgon, a Labour member of parliament (MP), has called on fellow legislators to back a motion for “widespread sanctions” against Israel over its atrocities in Gaza, the occupied West Bank and Lebanon, Al Jazeera reports.

Signatories include SNP spokesperson Brendan O’Hara, former Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn and Layla Moran, the UK’s only MP of Palestinian descent.

The motion has 75 signatories, Burgon says in a post on X.
