Iran’s parliamentary speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has asserted that Iran will have the “upper hand on the battlefield”, claiming that Trump was requesting a ceasefire.

In remarks carried by Mizan news agency, he said, “Sometimes I hear from the people of Azair and even the national media that they say that we have destroyed all of their military power, so let’s go ahead and destroy the rest and not negotiate.

“We will definitely have the upper hand on the field, and that is why Trump is requesting a ceasefire,” he said.
