Most stock markets in the Gulf have ended lower, pressured as oil prices touched pre-war levels, after a preliminary deal between the US and Iran paved the way for the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, Al Jazeera reports.

Oil prices, a key catalyst for Gulf financial markets, have extended losses to near levels last seen before the start of the Iran war, as expectations of higher Middle East supply outweighed demand concerns.
