Senior officials from Qatar have met their Egyptian counterparts in northwestern Egypt’s El-Alamein for the seventh preparatory session of the Qatari-Egyptian Joint Higher Committee, according to Al Jazeera.

Qatar’s delegation for tomorrow’s official meeting is led by Nayef Al-Emadi, the director of the Arab Affairs Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, while the Egyptian side is led by Ihab Fahmy, Egypt’s Assistant Foreign Minister for Arab Affairs.

Both sides have praised continuous consultation regarding regional and international issues, as well as joint efforts to de-escalate the situation in the Middle East and achieve stability and sustainable peace.
