Egyptian Foreign Minister Abdelatty says there is “daily coordination between Egypt and Qatar… to reduce escalation and enhance diplomacy in the region”, Al Jazeera reports.

In a press conference with his Qatari counterpart, he has emphasised the need to adhere to international law in the field of maritime navigation.

He has also said Egypt “condemns and denounces” the Iranian attacks on Qatar and the Gulf states, which are a blatant violation of the sovereignty of states.

He further says that the security of Qatar and the sisterly Gulf states is an integral part of Egyptian national security and Arab national security.
