Oman’s Foreign Minister Dr Bard Albusaidi has stressed that safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz is intrinsic to the security and prosperity of the entire region, Iranian state news agency ISNA reports.
While referring to the importance of the Strait of Hormuz, Albusaidi notes, “Maritime security in the Strait of Hormuz is directly linked to the peace of the Persian Gulf, and any disruption in it threatens the stability of the region.
“We oppose any further escalation of tension or conflict in the region. The roots and fundamental factors of instability in the region must be reviewed and examined.”
