Brazilian Foreign Minister Mauro Viera has praised Pakistan’s role as a mediator between the US and Iran during a phone call with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, the Foreign Office (FO) says.
Viera “commended Pakistan’s constructive role and efforts towards mediation in the US-Iran context, underscoring the importance of dialogue and diplomacy for global peace and security”, it says in a post on X, adding that he also congratulated Dar on Pakistan’s signing of the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement with Turkiye and Saudi Arabia.
