Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has taken note of people criticising the government over economic hardship amid the US and Israel’s war on the country, stating the government does not deny shortages, according to the ISNA news agency.

“Some people are sitting on the sidelines because they do not know what conditions the government is facing. They recklessly offer opinions and analyses, even though they have endured none of the hardships or suffering, and then they complain about high prices,” Pezeshkian is quoted as saying.

“Criticism of the problems of inflation and the issues arising from the war is not consistent with the slogans of some people,” he adds.
