Kuwait has condemned an Israeli drone attack on a civilian car in a village southwest of Damascus that injured several civilians, Al Jazeera reports.

“The ministry renews its call upon the international community and the Security Council to fulfil their responsibilities in halting the repeated Israeli occupation aggressions against Syrian territories,” Kuwait’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement on social media.

Israel defended the strike, claiming it was targeting “terrorists” and that the attack was in response to “an immediate threat to our forces”.

This is Israel’s second attack on Syria within a week.
