Iranian foreign ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei has warned that cooperating with the US or its naval blockade “will have consequences”, state broadcaster IRIB reports.
“The claim that Iran is unreliable at the negotiating table is false; Washington has repeatedly shown that its commitments cannot be trusted,” he adds.
