QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti has directed the authorities concerned to accelerate the use of modern technology for crime prevention and upgrade the surveillance system in line with contemporary requirements.
He issued the directive while chairing a meeting on the performance of the Balochistan Safe City Authority.
The meeting was earlier apprised that the Safe City’s effective surveillance system had helped in identification of 138 stolen vehicles and in timely detection of nine suspicious activities that led to prevention of major acts of terrorism.
The authority had also provided police with 631 important pieces of evidence related to various crimes. The CM noted that the Safe City Authority was playing an effective role in maintaining law and order, preventing crime and protecting the lives and property of citizens.
Meanwhile, the provincial government ordered enhanced security across the province to ensure foolproof security on 12th Rabiul Awwal.
