Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has briefed Commonwealth Secretary-General Shirley Botchwey on recent developments in the Middle East, including Pakistan’s role in the US-Iran peace process, during a meeting in London, the Foreign Office (FO) says.
“The Secretary-General felicitated Pakistan, especially the DPM/FM, for his untiring efforts and mediation between the United States and Iran,” the FO writes on X. “She thanked him for helping avert a destructive war and for contributing to peace and stability in the region.”
