Trump 'not concerned' about possible Russian involvement in Iran

US President Donald Trump has expressed no concern when asked about reports that Russian President Vladimir Putin could visit Iran.

Speaking to reporters, he reiterates his claim that Iran cannot pay its troops, adding, “They’re in deep trouble, they have very little capacity.

Noting that vessels are making their way through the “open” Strait of Hormuz, Trump says that “nothing is going through it” thanks to the US’ naval blockade.

Asked if he would punish Putin if he went to Iran, Trump replies, “It depends. So far, I think Russia has behaved quite well having to do with the Strait of Hormuz. You have to understand, for everything they do, we do also.”
