The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) says Iran maintains control over the Strait of Hormuz and is adopting “greater strategic initiative” in steps moving forward, state news agency IRNA reports.

In a statement, the IRGC Intelligence Organisation says that the “unity of the battlefield, streets, diplomacy and public service” has resulted in 200 days of resisting US-Israeli aggression.

Citing US intelligence assessments, it adds that Iran has “moved beyond the stage of safeguarding its survival, strengthened its national resilience and asymmetric capabilities, maintained control over the Strait of Hormuz, and is moving to increase its strategic initiative and influence over the timing, location, and cost of war and diplomacy”, according to IRNA.
