Tanker struck by projectile in Strait of Hormuz, UKMTO says

A tanker was struck by an unknown projectile while transiting inbound through the Strait of Hormuz yesterday, the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations agency says, according to Reuters.

The incident occurred 12 nautical miles north of Oman’s Khasab, UKMTO said in an advisory note, adding that no casualties or environmental impact were reported.
