Iran’s deputy parliament speaker Hamidreza Haji Babaei says the US must be “besieged in the region”, and that Tehran should target all oil-exporting countries to put economic pressure on Washington, Al Jazeera reports.
“Breaking the siege against us will not be achieved through military attack alone. Rather, we must besiege America in the region,” he says. “Anyone who has taken a position in the enemy’s camp, whether economically [or] politically through their presence in cyberspace, in terms of technology, or in any other way that helps America, should be targeted.”
