Trump warns of 'much harder' military action if Iran retaliates to US strikes

US President Donald Trump has warned that if Iran retaliates to ongoing US strikes, it will be “hit again at a much harder and higher level”.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump hints at “the biggest attack of them all”, which is “waiting in the wings, and when it is over, there will be very little left of the Islamic Republic of Iran”.

Trump adds that the “large and powerful” American strikes are retaliation for Iranian attempts to plant mines in the Strait of Hormuz, with Trump reiterating his claim that there are no mines in the waterway, and that a US base in Jordan “successfully knocked down” eight missiles fired by Tehran.
