The Iranian military’s general staff has warned that it will “impose a heavy cost” on the US for fresh strikes launched tonight, according to the Fars news agency.

“In response to the US military’s air aggression against targets in Sistan- Baluchistan and Hormozgan provinces, Iran’s armed forces will deliver crushing blows against the cowardly American enemy,” the military says.

It adds that as the US military continues “pursuing its aggression” against Iran, it will sustain greater and heavier losses.

“We have repeatedly stated — and are determined — that under no circumstances will we relinquish the rights of the heroic Iranian people, and we will impose heavy costs on the American enemy,” the military says.
