Fresh explosions have been heard in southern Iran along the strategic Strait of Hormuz as well as on an island in the Gulf, AFP reports citing state television, as the United States carries out strikes in the area.

“Explosions were heard again in Bandar Abbas city and Qeshm island,” state TV says, adding that blasts have also been heard on Lavan island, home to one of Iran’s oil export terminals in the Gulf.
