IRGC denies attack on nuclear facility in Isfahan: state media

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ (IRGC) Imam Sahib al-Zaman Corps has denied any attack on nuclear centres and facilities in Iran’s Isfahan province, according to state news agency IRNA.

“Following the circulation of false reports and claims on social media and online platforms alleging that the American-Zionist enemy had attacked nuclear centres and facilities in Isfahan Province, we inform the honourable and vigilant people of the province that this report is completely false,” the Corps says in a statement.

“No attack by the Zionist regime (Israel) or the United States on Isfahan’s nuclear facilities, as claimed in the report, has taken place.”

The IRGC adds that spreading misinformation in sensitive circumstances “is an example of efforts by hostile elements to create tension, alarm public opinion, and disrupt the psychological calm of the people”.
