A security alert issued by the US embassy in Bahrain has urged American nationals in country and throughout the region to “exercise heightened vigilance”, Al Jazeera reports.
“The US embassy reminds American citizens that Iran has previously targeted civilian infrastructure in Bahrain, including hotels in Manama,” the alert says, instructing US nationals to prepare for “potential flight cancellations, airspace closures, and travel disruptions”.
