In a post on X, Iran’s permanent mission to the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation has denounced US attacks on an Iranian tanker in the Gulf of Oman, ISNA reports.

“You call it precision and professionalism, while failing to realise that a cowardly attack on a commercial oil tanker is hardly something to boast about or glorify,” the mission has said in response to a Centcom post.

Referring to attacks on civilian sites in Minab, Lamerd and Kuhestak, the Iranian diplomatic mission has added: “How, then, can attacks on an elementary school in Minab, a sports club in Lamerd, a wedding ceremony in Kuhestak and other civilian locations simply be dismissed as ‘mistakes’ or ‘targeting errors’?”

The mission says Centcom’s statement constitutes “an explicit acknowledgment of full responsibility for all the brutal crimes committed by US terrorist forces during the illegal war of aggression against Iran.”

“You cannot invoke precision when it suits you and call it a ‘mistake’ when civilians pay the price,” the mission has told Centcom.
