Saudi Arabia’s energy ministry has said several energy facilities and installations in the kingdom’s southern region have been hit this morning, resulting in reported injuries, Al Jazeera reports.

According to Al Jazeera, the statement indicated that the attacks caused fires at multiple sites and temporarily halted some operations, while authorities worked to ensure the safety of facilities and personnel, as well as operational continuity.

The ministry said that damage assessments were currently underway and that the injured were receiving medical attention.
