Egypt has strongly condemned the “missile and drone attacks targeting the cities of Abha, Khamis Mushait, Jazan, and Najran” in Saudi Arabia.

Egypt’s foreign ministry termed the act a “dangerous escalation, a violation of the kingdom’s sovereignty, and a threat to the security and safety of its people”.

Cairo reaffirmed its support for Riyadh in “confronting any threats to its security, sovereignty and territorial integrity”.

“Egypt categorically rejects the targeting of civilians and civilian infrastructure, and emphasises that the security of the Kingdom is an integral part of Egyptian and Arab national security,” it stressed.
