The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) have strongly condemned the Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia.
In a statement, OIC Secretary-General Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed warned of the “consequences of these terrorist militias continuing to target innocent civilians and stressed the need to halt all terrorist attacks”.
He also urged the international community to take a “firm and decisive stance” against these attacks, describing them as a “blatant violation” of Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty.
In his statement, GCC Secretary General Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi denounced the Houthis’ “deliberate targeting of civilians, national assets, civilian infrastructure, and civilian objects” in Saudi Arabia.
“The Houthi group’s persistence in these hostile practices represents a blatant challenge to the international community and a direct threat to regional and international peace and security,” he observed, also calling for a “firm and deterrent stance against these violations”.
