Yemen’s internationally recognised government has criticised the Houthi strikes on civilian facilities and energy infrastructure in southern Saudi Arabia, calling the attacks a “dangerous escalation” and saying they targeted “a number of prominent figures, civilian and economic facilities, and energy infrastructure”, Al Jazeera reports.
The attacks “once again confirm” its position that the Houthis are acting as a “tool” of Iran and its “expansionist project in the region”, the government adds.
