Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia threaten to expand the scope of the conflict and expose civilians to serious risk, according to UN Special Envoy for Yemen Hans Grundberg, Al Jazeera reports.

In a post on X, Grundberg condemns the recent missile and drone attacks launched by the Houthis against Saudi Arabia.

“These attacks threaten to widen the conflict, put civilians at grave risk, and undermine efforts towards a political solution,” he writes. “I call on Ansar Allah [Houthis] to halt these attacks, as well as its attacks inside Yemen, which have also put civilians at grave risk.”
