Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has held talks with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian amid the Brics summit in New Delhi, underscoring the need to protect the freedom of navigation and commerce and the safety and well-being of seafarers, Reuters reports, citing India’s foreign ministry.
The ministry adds in a statement that Modi emphasised the need for continued efforts to ensure lasting peace and stability in the region.
