US President Donald Trump says defence contractors are building new factories and plants to manufacture missile interceptors and other weapons at a much faster rate.

“What we’re doing is forcing these companies — they’re great companies — but they’ve got to make it faster,” he says while delivering remarks at the US embassy in Ireland. “We make great equipment, but we’re putting it out very much faster … some of the companies are building brand new plants.
