A large explosion carried out by Israeli forces in the town of Khiam, southern Lebanon, has shattered windows in several nearby towns, Al Jazeera cites Lebanon’s National News Agency.

The incident comes amid continued Israeli military operations across southern Lebanon despite a US-brokered ceasefire. Israel has carried out repeated air strikes and ground operations in recent days, including around the strategic Ali al-Taher ridge.
