Saudi crown prince arrives in Cairo, meets Egyptian president

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has met Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi in Cairo during his visit to Egypt amid escalating tensions across the Middle East, Anadolu reports.

Bin Salman was received by Sisi upon his arrival at Cairo International Airport, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

The Egyptian presidency says the discussions are expected to focus on ways to strengthen relations between Egypt and Saudi Arabia across various fields, alongside an exchange of views on regional and international developments.

The visit comes amid rapidly evolving developments in the region, including tensions in the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab, as well as developments in Yemen.
