The fourth planning meeting for Saudi Arabia’s multinational defensive maritime coalition was convened at the Western Fleet headquarters in Jeddah, according to the Saudi defence ministry.
“The meeting was attended by 154 naval commanders, planners, ambassadors, and European Union representatives — representing 41 allied and friendly nations — as the coalition continues its transition from the establishment phase to active operations,” a statement reads.
It adds that the coalition is preparing for operational execution and an active presence in the maritime area of operations.
