Iran still holds the initiative in the Strait of Hormuz: armed forces spokesperson

Iranian armed forces spokesperson Brigadier General Abolfazl Shekarchi says that Tehran “still holds the initiative in the Strait of Hormuz” and that US Central Command’s claim of moving 1 billion barrels of oil is “exaggerated and absurd, more a failed psychological warfare effort than a genuine fact”.

“It aims to lift the spirits of the weary and depleted terrorist US military in the region and to justify Washington’s excessive financial and human costs there. It cannot alter the reality that the aggressor American army is withdrawing from the region,” he is quoted as saying by Iran’s official IRNA news agency.
