A spokesperson for the Iranian parliament’s National Security Commission has warned that unauthorised commercial vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz will be fined 20 per cent of the value of their cargo, according to Iran’s Fars news agency.
The spokesperson further warns that violators may also face the temporary seizure of their vessel until the fine is paid.
