28 years of McDonald’s Pakistan: celebrating the local partners behind the Golden Arches
Marking 28 years of operations in Pakistan, McDonald’s hosted a supplier recognition gathering in Lahore to acknowledge the domestic network of partners that underpins its nationwide presence.
Held at McDonald’s Etihad Town restaurant in Lahore, the event brought together leadership from prominent Pakistani enterprises, including Packages Limited, Big Bird, Nurpur, Fresh & Freeze, Pronto Spaces, Saima Packaging and the Zaman Foundation.

The milestone highlighted the structural evolution of the company’s local procurement model. Over nearly three decades, McDonald’s has collaborated closely with Pakistani agricultural and industrial partners, introducing international food-safety frameworks, bio-security measures, and sustainable material standards to domestic production lines.

This sustained knowledge transfer has contributed to the formalisation and technical upgrading of local industries, particularly in livestock processing, dairy hygiene, food-grade packaging, and cold-chain logistics.
Speaking on the occasion, McDonald’s representatives noted that the brand’s operational longevity has been enabled by the resilience and technical adaptability of its local partners. Looking ahead, the company reiterated its focus on deepening local integration and strengthening the domestic industrial ecosystem that supports its operations.
