Kitchen covered in wrapping paper

Sometimes people literally go nuts over how to surprise people or impress with unique ideas. And this is what happened with Nichola Mullen-King, a woman from Newcastle, UK, who was left speechless when she walked in to her kitchen only to discover that her husband had covered the entire room in Christmas wrapping paper — and even separately wrapped all the kitchen utensils.

This amusing act took Carl, her husband, around two hours to complete including wrapping the fruits on the counter; however, Nichola wasn’t all that impressed with his work and share the snaps of her ‘new’ kitchen on Facebook.

The snaps got a lot of mixed reviews, with some appreciating and others taking the act as that of waste of paper.

Two-headed cobra discovered

Wildlife officials in India said a two-headed snake was discovered in a village, but locals refused to turn the serpent over because they believe it has mythological meaning.

Forest Department officials said the two-headed monocled cobra, a venomous species, was discovered in Midnapore City, West Bengal.

“This is totally a biological issue like a human being can have two heads or thumbs similarly this snake has two heads. This doesn’t have to do anything related to mythological belief. The longevity of such species increases by keeping them in captivity. The life span of this snake can be increased if it is preserved,” Chakraborty told.

Blocked nose or a tooth growing in the nostril?

Zhang Binsheng, decided to seek medical attention after struggling to breathe out of his nose for three months. He told medics he had been struggling to sleep at night and also had a constant smell of ‘decay’ in his nostrils.

They advised him to undergo an X-ray, in which they spotted a shadow of ‘high density’ at the back of his nasal cavity. Mr Zhang was then left stunned when medics explained they believed it to be his own long-missing tooth.

The tooth had been knocked out of his mouth when he fell from the third floor of a mall at the age of 10 and had somehow managed to root and grow in his nose.

Doctor Guo Longmei, at the Fourth Affiliated Hospital of Harbin Medical University, in Harbin, China, said because the tooth was Mr Zhang’s, his nose had not rejected it as a ‘foreign object’.

The tooth, which measured 1cm, was removed from Mr Zhang’s nose during a 30-minute surgery. He is now said to be recovering well.

Meet pigeons wearing cowboy hats!

Animal rescuers in Las Vegas said they are trying to capture pigeons spotted wandering with tiny cowboy hats on their heads.

A video posted to Facebook shows a group of pigeons foraging in a Las Vegas parking lot and some of the birds are wearing little red cowboy hats.

Mariah Hillman, who runs animal rescue group Lofty Hopes, said she is concerned about the welfare of the pigeons.

“Did they glue them? And what does that mean for them?” she said. “Is it something that’s going to impede their flight or attract predators?”

Hillman said she is hoping to capture the pigeons and remove the hats. Whatever the reasons, pigeons wearing cowboy hats, is one of the cutest things on earth.
