Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said that the media also needed to focus on positive Covid-19 news in an effort to dispel the panic that has gripped the nation.

The PM's aide stated: "Hearing negativity all day, constantly seeing numbers increasing, can have a negative impact on people's mental health.

"By giving airtime to recovered patients, we can reduce the stigma against them," she said.
