Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has said that businesses will now operate six days a week and remain closed on Sunday in line with the National Command and Operation Centre's (NCOC) decision.

Presiding over a session of the Provincial Task Force on Coronavirus, the chief minister said: "Businesses will remain closed on Sunday and all business activities will continue for the rest of the days."

He also took notice of a vaccination certificate being issued without vaccine administration at Expo Centre and directed the inspector general of police and interior ministry to take strict action against the relevant individual.

"We will not tolerate any corruption or incompetence in the ongoing campaign against Covid-19," he said. He also directed the IG to make vaccination mandatory for anyone applying for a driving license.
