LARKANA: Police on Thursday arrested a suspect who, along with his accomplice, was accused of subjecting a teenage boy to rape and filming their shameful act.

Market police station’s SHO Sartaj Jagirani disclosed they had found nine “objectionable” video clips in the suspect’s mobile phone set. Police would take DNA samples of the suspect on Friday while the victim had been sent to Chandka Medical College Hospital for medical examination, he said.

He said the suspect identified as Ali Raza Mangrio was a habitual sexual predator with a history of involvement in such heinous crimes. Police would obtain the suspect’s remand on Friday, he said.

Police moved into action after Abdul Rehman Shaikh, elder brother of the victim, registered late on Wednesday night an FIR under Section 377-B-34-PPC against Mangrio and his accomplice.

He said that his younger brother, who worked at the family’s cloth shop in Resham Gali was abducted by the two suspects near Deeni Madrasah when he was walking homewards for lunch.

He said that his brother revealed the suspects took him to a nearby agricultural land where they raped him and filmed the shameful act.
