The UN Development Programme office in Gaza was shelled last night, Achim Steiner, the head of the agency said.

In a post on X, he wrote there were reports of deaths and injuries among those who sought safety in the UNDP office compound.

“This is wrong on every count. Civilians, civilian infrastructure & the inviolability of UN facilities must be always protected,” Steiner stated.
