The Multan Electric Power Company (MEPCO) has stated that it will restore electricity in districts affected by flooding once water recedes.

According to a statement, electricity was cut off from 1,300 transformers due to floodwater entering 15 feeders in the Vehari district.

“Electricity poles serving 23,395 consumers are submerged in flood water, due to which electricity was cut off under safety SOPs,” the statement read.
