Lebanon’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has condemned what it described as a shooting that targeted the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), Al-Jazeera reports.

In a statement on X, the ministry said the incidents occurred during routine UNIFIL patrols near their bases in the southern towns of Yater, Deir Kifa and Qlaouieh, calling the attack a “serious and unacceptable” violation of international law and UN Security Council resolutions.
