Tasnim news agency reports that the funeral procession for the late Iranian supreme leader has begun in the Iraqi holy city of Najaf.

Following several days of large-scale public mourning ceremonies across Tehran and Qom, Khamenei’s body arrived in Iraq on Wednesday night for regional funeral rites requested by Iraqi religious and political figures.

According to Tasnim, huge crowds of Iraqi mourners flooded the streets of Najaf to take part in the procession.
