Oman is a “critical negotiator with Iran” and it “doesn’t make a ton of sense” to make more enemies by threatening to bomb the country, Democratic Sen. Mark Kelly said, according to CNN.
“Oman has been a security partner of ours and are critical in any kind of negotiation we’re going to have with the Iranians,” Kelly told CNN’s Anderson Cooper. “That’s part of the problem here, is the President got into this without a strategy, without any kind of strategic goal, without a plan, without a timeline. And now he’s stuck and can’t find a way out,” he said.
