Oil continues to rise amid Trump threats

International and US crude oil futures have kept rising after US President Donald Trump threatened economic sanctions on Iran’s trading partners, raising expectations of tighter supply in the coming weeks, Reuters reports.

International benchmark Brent crude futures are up 71 cents, or 0.76 per cent, to $94.49 a barrel as of 1801 GMT (11:01pm PKT). US West Texas Intermediate crude is up 29 cents, or 0.33pc, at $87.12 a barrel.
